Embracing Flexible Data Governance

As the pandemic has pushed more people to work remotely, the need to establish ground rules for accessing data has become more urgent. Developing a strategy to manage the abundance of data your company has amassed will help set clear goals for employees on how to move forward with that information. A data governance plan should make data accessible and secure for intended users, while also keeping certain information out of the wrong hands. That means data governance needs to be flexible and based on the user. Having the right policies in effect allows businesses to enforce the rules. And effective policies often arise out of healthy business cultures.

In the second episode of a four-part virtual event series presented by Forbes and Tableau, panelists discussed the importance of creating good data governance to properly manage the flow of information. On-Demand Series Page >
